Remember "Drag Net?" Sgt. Joe Friday's most quoted phrase, "Just the facts, ma'am." Well, the other day the Holy Spirit put a wonderful idea in my mind concerning the facts of who we are in Christ and what we have as a result of being in Him. I present them just the way I put them on paper that day followed by a break down of the Scripture I used and a list of the facts from Romans and Galatians. Be encouraged.
Facts of the
Christian Life
Various
Scriptures
Romans 8:1
8:1 There
is therefore
now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk
according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Romans
8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free
from the law of sin and death.
Romans
8:3-4
For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh,
God did by
sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of
sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4
that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us
who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Romans
8:14
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Romans
8:15-17
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you
received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba,
Father." 16
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children
of God, 17
and if children, then heirs -- heirs of God and joint heirs with
Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him,
that
we may also be glorified together.
Romans
3:21-24
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed,
being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22
even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all
and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24
being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in
Christ Jesus,
Romans
8:28-32
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love
God, to those who are the called according to His
purpose.
29
For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to
be conformed
to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many
brethren. 30
Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called,
these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also
glorified. 31
What then shall we say to these things? If God is
for
us, who can be
against
us? 32
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all,
how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Romans
5:1-2
Romans 5:1
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God
through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2
through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we
stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Romans 3:21-26 But now the righteousness of God
apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the
Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith
in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no
difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace
through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom
God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith,
to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had
passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26
to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might
be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Romans
4:5-8
But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the
ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6
just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God
imputes righteousness apart from works: 7
"Blessed are
those whose
lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered; 8
Blessed is the man
to whom the LORD shall not impute sin."
Romans
5:6-9
For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for
the ungodly. 7
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good
man someone would even dare to die. 8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were
still sinners, Christ died for us. 9
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be
saved from wrath through Him.
Romans
5:8-9
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were
still sinners, Christ died for us. 9
Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be
saved from wrath through Him.
Romans
6:4
Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that
just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father,
even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans
6:7
For he who has died has been freed from sin.
Romans
6:22-23
But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of
God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.
23
For the wages of sin is
death,
but the gift of God is
eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans
6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law
but under grace.
Romans
7:14
For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under
sin.
Romans 3:21-26 But now the righteousness of God
apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the
Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith
in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no

Romans
4:5-8

ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6
just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God
imputes righteousness apart from works: 7

is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 21
I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to
do good. 24-25
O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of
death? 25
I thank God -- through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind
I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
Romans 8:1
8:1 There

Galatians
Galatians 3:2-3

works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3
Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being
made perfect by the flesh?
Galatians 3:13-14
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a
curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is
everyone
who hangs on a tree"), 14

Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called,
these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also

God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He
who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how
shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more
than conquerors through Him who loved us. :38 For I am
